A new video has just been uploaded to YouTube. This is a lecture first given by WBro JH Parkes sometime in the early 1940’s. There is no date on the manuscript, but from the penmanship, paper type and internal evidence I’d say that it comes from early in his Masonic career.
Brother Parkes was Grand Lecturer for the SGRACQ in the late 1960’s, so the fact that this is a Craft lecture suggests that it was well before that time.
It was read from his handwritten notes, so I’ve stumbled across a few words, but is a lovely summary detailing the establishment of the first Grand Lodge in England.
