The Pillars of the Temple

By R. Jeffery, 1977.

This lecture, from the 1970s, provides a thoughtful analysis of the great pillars which stood outside the Temple. It focusses to a great extent on what the archaeological record can tell us about the pillars, their provenance, construction and size; as well as the vexed issue of just what exactly is a cubit!

My thanks for R. W. Bro. C. Leitch P.A.G.M. for transcribing this fascinating text and providing me with a copy to work with.
