Four new books added to the Library

New additions to the Library have been uploaded today:

A Familiar Treatise on the Principles and Practice of Masonic Jurisprudence – A book of jurisprudence designed ‘to make it comprehensible to those who have heretofore deemed it too abstruse for the common intellect’

Proofs of the Real Existence, and Dangerous Tendency, of Illuminism – Early 19th Century work supporting the conspiracy theories of Abbe Barruel involving the Bavarian Illuminati and the Jacobins.

An Exposition of the Mysteries, or Religious Dogmas and Customs of the Ancient Egyptians, Pythagoreans, and Druids – Quite an interesting account of antique religious traditions and their relationship to Freemasonry, especially the Royal Arch. Dated, but still well worth perusing.

Royal Freemasons – Brief work containing short Masonic biographies of members of Royal Houses ‘who have donned the Lambskin Apron since 1717’.
