A new video!

This is a direct transcription of the complete 1564 Hieroglyphic Monad of John Dee including all illustrations and technical diagrams.

A notoriously dense and complex work, the Hieroglyphic Monad comprises 24 theorems detailing the geometric and esoteric perfection of the Monad itself.

Although not directly Masonic, and published well before the official emergence of Freemasonry, I personally feel that it is one of the foundation texts of Esoteric Masonry. A quck examination of the first theorem will explain why!

“It is by the straight line and the circle that the first and most simple example and representation of all things may be demonstrated, whether such things be either non-existent or merely hidden under Nature’s veils”.

Owing to the length of the video and my own vocal shortcomings I have used a computerised voice for the reading. I hope that this doesn’t detract from its effectiveness.
