The Arithmetic of Freemasonry – Part One

This is a long and complex lecture by the worthy and estimable Brother F. de P. Castells from 1914. As a result of its complexity, it will be published in two parts.

This first section treats the Masonic significance of the numbers 3, 5 and 7. Part two will examine the symbolism of the number 15.

    David,

I have just seen Father Christmas, and yes he is no stranger but is just my Fellow freemason. Following on I started to count, be it by threes or fives and even seven.

It is strange but we do not put all these into our minds in this order but they do exist and are there for us to meditate upon.

    Thank you once again.

    Cyril
